In a bizarre crossover event that defies conventional predictions, Ubisoft has revealed an virtual crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, offering free bonus story content for Shadows players.

According to the official statement, "A strange encounter leads heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a original adventure, where hints of prohibited practices and terrifying transformations reverberate through the obscurity." The storyline introduces a "oddly dressed woman named Ada" who charges the duo with journeying into the Gemstone Grotto—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her friend from a clandestine group.
The questline focuses on "peculiar experiments and a terrifying adversary" and is accessible to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Settings and Changes
The preview highlights the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was earlier where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through eras. The teaser concludes with a striking sequence showing a character, likely the prisoner, transforming into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.
Exclusive Items and Additional Features
Players who successfully complete the adventure will obtain an exclusive katana together with numerous items secreted throughout the area in secret chests. The update also features in-store Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:

- Mikasa outfit for Naoe

Latest Free Story Update
This patch also introduces the game's third free story content, titled "A Puzzlement." This humorous adventure pairs Naoe and Yasuke as they exchange characteristic techniques: Naoe reveals a performative interpretation of Yasuke's war kick, while Yasuke masters subduing stealth takedowns. True to its name, "A Puzzlement" also includes a fresh environmental puzzle that may eventually clarify some unanswered questions from the main storyline.
